Anti-Virus software can only trap viruses that it recognises. New viruses
are being released daily, so your computer is at risk from any virus
newer than your anti-virus software’s virus table.
How do I know if my system is infected?
- Sometimes it is obvious: the virus will display a message announcing
its presence. However this is not as common as it used to be.
- Someone may tell you they have received an infected email from you.
- Your system may be behaving in an unusual manner: programs not working
properly when they used to before; menu options such as ‘Edit
Macro’ being greyed out or missing when they should be present.
These occurrences do not mean your computer is infected, only
that it may be.
If you think your system may be infected we can check it out, and if
we find a virus, remove it.
